Sometimes it goes badly wrong, because like it says on the tin, Motor Racing is Dangerous.
So a huge thank you to our friends the Marshalls, who turn us up the right way when we fall over and put us out when we catch fire – all without a thought for their own safety.
But when we see that chequered flag at the end of the race its all worthwhile.
